After postponing its scheduled annual 2020 conference last March in Austin, Texas, the National Vehicle Leasing Association (NVLA) held a two-day virtual event, “Wins of Change,” last week. Clearly, there has been much change in 2020 and the automotive leasing industry is not immune.
Having never participated in a virtual conference, sitting in my home office in Westchester County, New York and logging onto the event in my new standard-wear sweatpants and tee shirt, the event far exceeded my expectations. The virtual conference platform was intuitive and user friendly, the live streaming and audio was crystal clear, technical difficulties were minimal, and the conference speakers and panelists maintained my interest with timely and relevant industry topics throughout the conference, four-hours each day. The only thing missing were the breakfast burritos!
